New marine job website launched

Love boating so much you'd like a job in the industry? You're in luck, NZ Marine has launched a new marine jobs website to bring together employers and those looking for new roles within the sector.

NZ Marine membership & communications manager Caroline Gibson says the time is right for such a targeted website with many marine businesses experiencing a boost.

The NZ Marine Jobs website is, she says, a tailored, industry-specific site where NZ Marine Industry Association members can advertise positions knowing they will be seen by those with suitable skills and experience, rather than advertising on a general job site. 

Job-seekers can create a simple ‘candidate profile’ to view full details of jobs on offer, which will also help NZ Marine develop a database of potential workers and their areas of interest and expertise, Caroline says.
