Rayglass Boats, one of New Zealand’s most iconic boat manufacturers, has reached an exciting milestone with the opening of a brand-new, purpose-built 7,000sqm factory in Takanini, Auckland. This modern facility is set to revolutionise their production process, making it faster and more efficient than ever before.
The new Heb Place factory brings together operations that were previously spread across six different locations in Auckland and Hamilton. Now, everything is centralised between their Mt Wellington headquarters and the new Takanini site. “Brunswick’s investment in the company and the trust they’ve shown in us is amazing,” says Rayglass President Dean Harris. “The extra space and advanced manufacturing capabilities will allow us to meet demand and shorten wait times for our customers”.
The timing couldn’t be better. With global demand for Rayglass’s award-winning Protector and power boats continuing to grow, this new facility is a game-changer. By consolidating operations, Rayglass will not only produce more boats but also innovate at a faster pace.
The Takanini factory is equipped with cutting-edge technology, offering improved production lines, ample storage, and enhanced research and development areas. These upgrades mean quicker turnaround times and more efficient processes, which is great news for customers eager to hit the water sooner. “We’re incredibly excited about what this new facility means for the future of Rayglass,” says Harris. “It’s an investment in our growth and our commitment to delivering the best possible boats”.
For Rayglass, this is a massive step forward in their mission to build world-class vessels right here in New Zealand. With its unwavering commitment to quality and innovation, Rayglass is well-positioned to continue leading the charge in the global marine industry.
