Thanks to innovative engineering and technology we can accurately assume that the boats of next year will be slightly different from what we’re accustomed to.

If we follow American trends, we can expect major changes in the way boats are built and equipped. “Overwhelmingly, new buyers are demanding the same comforts and conveniences onboard their boat that they already enjoy in their homes and their cars,” says the National Marine Manufacturer’s Association (USA).

According to that association, there are actually a dozen major shifts taking place in the market. Greater autonomy, USB chargers everywhere, cameras everywhere, remote controls (on board and off), stabilisers for the masses, more kid-friendly offerings, lower maintenance, more sun protection, increased telematics, toilets on smaller boats, glass helms, and multi-functional seating.
